According to the ICSE Class 10 maths paper analysis, the overall difficulty level was easy to moderate. While section A was slightly tricky and required careful understanding, section B was relatively easier and focused on diagrams, data analysis, and direct application of concepts.

The ICSE Class 10 maths exam had a mix of direct and application-based questions, which ensured a comprehensive assessment of the students' mathematical skills. Some questions tested basic understanding, while others demanded logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

ICSE Class 10 Maths Paper: Balanced, concept-based

Sanusree Sarkhel, Headmistress of St. Augustine’s Day School, Shyamnagar, said the ICSE Class 10 maths paper assessed students’ analytical abilities and conceptual understanding.

“The paper demanded analytical thinking, practical application and conceptual clarity. As a bad choice question paper could become lengthy; students had to choose the most appropriate question set wisely. Overall, the question paper maintained an excellent standard and was aligned with the syllabus based on NEP 2020,” she said.

Palak Vachhani, a Class 10 student from Vissanji Academy, Andheri East, said the ICSE Class 10 mathematics paper was student-friendly and focused on skills and concepts rather than complexity.

“The ICSE maths paper was not complicated and helped me to use my knowledge effectively. The time provided was sufficient, and I was able to comfortably attempt all the questions and review the additional options,” she said.

ICSE maths Class 10 paper analysis

Jayasri Roy, Principal of National Gems Higher Secondary School, said that the ICSE mathematics 2026 question paper is comprehensive and focuses on key concepts.

“The paper, which covered all the areas of the syllabus, emphasised the basic fundamentals. There were no very complex calculations or difficult concepts. Students who had studied consistently and had a clear conceptual understanding would be able to do very well. However, a few students felt that the question paper was a bit long,” she added.

Experts said the balanced nature of the ICSE 10th maths question paper gave well-prepared students a fair chance to score well. The question paper closely followed the syllabus and maintained an appropriate level of difficulty, ensuring accessibility while challenging students' analytical and problem-solving skills.
