IGNOU has clarified that there is no extension on the deadline of assignment and report submission for June 2021 TEE.
NEW DELHI : Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has issued a clarification on the incorrect news reports regarding the extension of IGNOU assignments and practical submission deadline for the June 2021 Term End Examination (TEE).
The university took up to Twitter to clarify and advise the students to not fall prey to any misinformation. The IGNOU official tweet says, “Please be advised that the university has not issued any notification with regard to the extension of submission date for Assignments or Practicals for June 2021 Term End Examinations.”

The last date for online submission of IGNOU June 2021 TEE assignment, internship report, fieldwork journals, projects and dissertation is May 31.
Appeal for extension
Some IGNOU students are demanding an extension on the due date of IGNOU assignment submission as they haven’t received the study material due to Cyclone Yaas, while others say that their family members including them are coping up with the deadly Covid-19 virus.
Manisha Das, an IGNOU student who is affected by the cyclone wrote on Twitter, “Kindly extend the dates for assignment submission because we have not received some of the study materials and due to cyclone YAAS we are facing many problems. So we request you to kindly extend the dates for assignment submission.”

Kindly extend the dates for assignment submission because we have not received some of the study materials and due to cyclone YAAS we are facing many problems. So we request you to kindly extend the dates for assignment submission
The statewide lockdown and curfew imposed by various state governments has forced many students to stay inside their home. Some students are even finding it hard to visit the nearby stationery and bring the assignment material. The fake messages received through WhatsApp and Telegram regarding the extension are also adding more to the misery.
One such Twitter user who received a fake message about the date extension says, “Meantime, many students (me including) gave into a viral fake message that the assignment submission date has been postponed to June 30, 2021.”

Considering all the above, kindly give extension for assignments submission and oblige. ?? #extendtheassignmentdateignou
One student alleges that there is disparity over the IGNOU assignment submission last date on the regional centre website saying, “It's confusing. RC websites say different things. Home Page of RC Pune says the deadline is 29th May. When you visit the student corner the submission link reads the date to be 15th June. 30 mins ago the same form read 30 June. A letter was also available which is deleted now.”
Along with the extension, the availability of an online mode of submission along with all the RC websites updated with all the recent data is necessary. RC Pune itself reads the last date as 31 May on the homepage and 15 June on another page. I HAVE SCREENSHOTS TO PROVE THE SAME.
