IGNOU organizes Startup Fest 2023 to boost entrepreneurship, innovation

NEW DELHI: The National Centre for Innovation in Distance Education (NCIDE) at the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) organized the Startup Fest 2023 on July 2, 2023. The event was inaugurated by the Minister of State for Education, Subhash Sarkar.
The Startup Fest-2023 helped IGNOU students and alumni to showcase their startup initiatives and business ventures and aimed to promote entrepreneurship and innovation among them. The fest was attended by faculty members, guests, and fellow students.

A total of nine startups participated in the fest. Among the participants were CraftUrCareer Educations Pvt Ltd and IG Crafter - The Indian Gifting by Chandan Kumar; Surpriso Pvt Ltd by Ujjaval Kapoor; Creamy Maza by Tapanjeet Singh and Anita Singh; Thynaa Healthy Naturally Pvt Ltd by Sanchit Aggarwal; Gaudrika Digital Labour Chowk Pvt Ltd by Chandrashekhar Mandal; Grower's Cart by Himanshu S Sagar and Tech and Bros Planet, and E-Debris and Neoterics by Chirag Khatri.
Sarkar commended the efforts of IGNOU in organizing the fest. The minister presented trophies and certificates to the participants.

The event provided an opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs, allowing them to connect with like-minded individuals, industry experts, and investors.
Nageshwar Rao, the vice chancellor of IGNOU said, “The initiatives by IGNOU students will contribute towards the Atmanirbhar Bharat in a great way.”
