IIIT Allahabad launches online executive MTech course in AI, Data Science with TeamLease EdTech

Two-year programme targets working professionals seeking advanced expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning and analytics
Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Allahabad has partnered with TeamLease EdTech to launch an online executive M.Tech course in artificial intelligence and data science for working professionals seeking advanced skills in emerging technologies.
As per the IIIT Allahabad press note, the agreement was signed by Mandar Subhash Karyakarte, registrar of IIIT Allahabad, on behalf of the institute. TeamLease EdTech will serve as the technology service provider for the programme.
IIIT Allahabad said that the initiative comes amid growing demand for professionals trained in artificial intelligence, machine learning and data science as organisations increasingly adopt AI-driven technologies across sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, cybersecurity, analytics and customer experience.

IIIT Allahabad: Executive MTech in AI and Data Science
As per the release, the executive MTech in artificial intelligence and data science will be offered in online mode over a duration of two years. The course is designed to equip learners with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in AI, machine learning and data science.
The course will be coordinated by Manish Kumar, professor and head of the department of information technology at IIIT Allahabad. The institute said the course is expected to be suitable for graduates holding a bachelor's degree in engineering, technology or related disciplines. Candidates with relevant professional experience will be given preference, while familiarity with programming and mathematics will be advantageous.
Mukul Sharad Sutaone, director of IIIT Allahabad, said the course aims to create a strong academic pathway for professionals looking to develop advanced expertise in AI and data science.

Kumar said the curriculum has been structured to balance conceptual understanding with practical implementation, enabling participants to apply AI and data science techniques across diverse industry environments.

Shantanu Rooj, Founder and CEO of TeamLease EdTech, said the collaboration would support professionals seeking to build relevant capabilities while continuing their careers.
As per the press note, TeamLease EdTech will provide the online delivery infrastructure and learner engagement support for the course. The institute added that details regarding admissions, application procedures and course launch timelines will be announced separately.
