IIM Bodh Gaya, PCI India partner to strengthen healthcare education domain; offers internship opportunities

NEW DELHI : The Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya (IIM Bodh Gaya), has signed an agreement with PCI India to strengthen the public health domain. IIM Bodh Gaya started its two-year MBA programme in Hospital and Healthcare Management in 2023.
The institute in partnership with PCI India is now offering internship opportunities to students enrolled in the MBA-HHM programme at IIM Bodh Gaya.
Under this agreement, students enrolled in the MBA-HHM programme will have to undergo a 2-week-long community project which aims to provide an immersive learning experience in public health.
The programme is designed to provide a holistic appreciation of the healthcare industry, including corporate hospitals, public health, health insurance, pharmaceuticals, digital health, and healthcare consulting, the IIM Bodh Gaya adds.
“IIM Bodh Gaya strives for academic excellence in healthcare management education by bridging the gap between industry and academia through this collaboration with PCI India,” the official statement added.

PCI India internship opportunities for students
As per the IIM Bodh Gaya statement, the subject matter experts from PCI India will be delivering lectures on relevant topics for participants and also provide internship opportunities to participants. The duration of the PCI internship for the MBA-HHM programme is four months long.
In addition, IIM Bodh Gaya and PCI India have agreed to conduct joint research and events including – round table discussions, seminars, workshops and conferences aiming to foster knowledge-sharing, innovation and discussions on pertinent issues in the healthcare management domain, the IIM Bodh Gaya statement adds.
IIM Bodh Gaya is constantly taking steps to contribute to the healthcare industry and is committed to establishing itself as a centre of excellence for healthcare management education and research.
Vinita Sahay, the director of IIM Bodh Gaya and Indrajit Chaudhuri the CEO of PCI India, emphasized that this collaboration is strategic and futuristic, with the agreement playing a significant role in fostering academic excellence and creating a social impact, the IIM Bodh Gaya statement adds.
