IIM Mumbai Placements: Highest salary at Rs 54 lakh by Microsoft; Accenture top recruiter in phase 1

IIM Mumbai Placements 2024-25: 128 companies offer internships to 425 students, highest stipend stands at Rs 5 lakh from Coca Cola.
NEW DELHI: The first phase of 2025 placements at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai saw a total of 78 companies giving away 373 job offers. Notably, 20 of these companies were new recruiters. The highest salary offered to students stands at Rs 54 lakh by Microsoft. For the top 10% of the 2025 batch, the average salary package has been recorded at Rs 48 lakh while the top 20% received an average of Rs 43.5 lakh. The top 50% of students secured an average salary package of Rs 35 lakh.
Accenture emerged as the largest recruiter, with 41 offers, almost double the number from the previous year. The company offered Rs 37 lakh per year for consultancy roles. Additionally, operations and supply chain management companies, which are traditional recruiters at the newest IIM, also participated in large numbers.
In the IIM Mumbai summer placements for the batch of 2026, 128 companies offered internships to 425 students. The average stipend for these internships was Rs 3 lakh for two months, with the highest stipend being Rs 5 lakh from Coca Cola. For the top 10% of the batch, the average stipend was Rs 5 lakh, while the top 20% received Rs 4.5 lakh. The top 50% had an average stipend of Rs 3.75 lakh.
Reflecting on the placement season, Neeraj Pandey, chairperson of placement and branding at IIM Mumbai, shared, "The first phase of placement, which began on November 25, is over. Things are looking up as the market is recovering. We got many more offers compared to last year. All the candidates with work experience, as well as some freshers, have been placed. The remainder will have another round in January."
