IIT Admissions 2025: JEE Advanced BTech CSE cut-off drops across IITs, except for Bombay, Dhanbad, Jodhpur

Use NowIndian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) is the only top institution to have the highest JEE Advanced cut-off of 66 for its BTech Computer Science Engineering, the most-sought after course of engineering aspirants. Other top-tier IITs — IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur and IIT Kharagpur— saw a slight dip in the closing ranks for CSE this year.
Breaking the trends, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) final round counselling 2025 also revealed increased competition at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and IIT Jodhpur. The JoSAA cut-off 2025 for BTech CSE at IIT Dhanbad improved from 3846 in 2024 to 3585 in 2025. IIT Jodhpur closing rank rose from 3061 in 2024 to 2918 in 2025.
IIT Mandi, IIT Tirupati, and IIT Delhi cut-offs 2025 for the course indicated a stable competition, with a marginal increase in the closing rank ranging between 5-10 points. IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur also saw slightly lower competition this year.
The JoSAA round 6 seat allotment 2025 result was announced on July 16 for IITs and NITs. This marks the final round of admission process for IITs for the academic year 2025-26. Following this, the JEE Advanced scorecard 2025 has been made available on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in.

IIT BHU, IIT Goa, IIT Bhilai, IIT Dharwad, and IIT Guwahati saw a significant drop in the JEE Advanced cut-offs 2025, indicating a reduced competition.
