IIT Bombay has extended registration deadline for e-Yantra Innovation Challenge 2022 to September 30, 2022.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay has extended the registration deadline for e-Yantra Innovation Challenge (eYIC 2022-23) from September 25 to September 30, 2022. eYIC 2022-23 is a robotics outreach programme that has a Rs 1 crore startup seed funding at stake. IIT Bombay commenced registration for eYIC 2022 on September 1, 2022.

This project is aimed at finding sustainable and advanced solutions for inclusive urban infrastructure and agriculture. The eYIC project is funded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and hosted at the CSE department of IIT Bombay. It is an outreach programme that caters to young engineers and uses Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach by providing hands-on experience.

e-Yantra Innovation Challenge: A Platform

e-Yantra Innovation Challenge (eYIC) is an annual competition that trains an average of 2,000 students in crucial skills every year since 2014. This year’s theme is to give brilliant minds a platform to find solutions for an inclusive living experience for the urban population including better provision for the differently-abled.

Young engineers are given a platform to launch their own startups with additional incubation support from IIT Bombay Incubator SINE that has nurtured multiple startups. e-Yantra has ties with Deutsche Bank, Desai Sethi School of Entrepreneurship (DSSE, IIT-Bombay), inclusive Divyangjan Entrepreneur Association (IDEA) among others.

The teams with the winning pitch will receive a seed funding from the massive Rs 1 crore prize pool. In addition, there are other opportunities for the participants to win upto 25 lakhs worth of prizes.
