IIT Bombay Placements Phase-1 2021: 1,382 offers, highest domestic CTC at Rs 1.68 crore

IIT Bombay Placements 2021 witnessed 45 international offers and highest number of offers given by engineering and technology sector.
NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay placements 2021 phase-1 witnessed 1,382 recruitments including pre-placement offers (PPOs) from 315 companies. “. This is an all-time high record of number of offers in Phase-I of Placements at IIT Bombay,” said an official statement from the institute.

The highest number of offers was given by the engineering and technology sector. IIT Bombay witnessed 2 Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) in Phase-I of Placements this year, which gave 9 offers to students.
IIT Bombay received a total of 45 international offers from different countries like USA, Japan, UAE, Singapore, Netherlands, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

The average CTC package received by IIT Bombay this year has been Rs 25 lakh per annum. The highest domestic CTC package has been Rs 1.68 crore per annum and the highest international CTC has been US Dollars 2.87 lakh per annum. Number of international offers above Rs 1 crore is 7 and that of domestic offers above Rs 1 crore is 5.

- Engineering and Technology - Rs 21.54 LPA
- IT or Software - Rs 27.05 LPA
- Finance - Rs 28.40 LPA
- Research and Development - Rs 25.12 LPA
- Consulting - Rs 18.02 LPA

While day one and day two saw 51 and 60 companies participating in the placement drive, day 3 of IIT Bombay placements 2021 witnessed 57 organizations interviewing the students.

Companies like Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Boston Consulting Group, Airbus, Bain and company, made the highest number of offers in the domestic sector.
