IIT Delhi Placement 2024: BTech Computer Science and Engineering students offered most jobs

IIT Delhi Placements 2024: A total of 184 students and 35 students pursuing MSc and MTech at IIT Delhi were offered jobs.

Download NowNEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in a reply to RTI plea said around 1,000 students have received around 1,050 job offers during the IIT Delhi placement drive 2024. The job offers also included pre-placement offers, the IIT Delhi mentioned.

The person who filed the plea under the Right to Information (RTI) Act had raised doubts against the claims made by IIT Delhi. He has also asked for information regarding the students who have been placed and the companies that have offered jobs to them. The IIT Delhi didn’t disclose the information as it falls under the Section 8(1)(j) of RTI Act 2005. The institute also added that campus placement drive for 2023-24 are still ongoing.
As per the IIT Delhi’s reply, most offers were received by students pursuing BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. A total of 85 students pursuing the degree received 102 job offers. The most number of students were placed in the MBA in Focus on Management Systems. As many as 94 students pursuing BTech in Electrical Engineering got 98 job offers. A total of 35 students pursuing Master in Science also received job offers.

The IIT Delhi said 184 jobs were offered to students pursuing MTech in various disciplines while 9 doctoral scholars received jobs. Around 20 international organisations offered 50-plus international offers. The recruiters are from countries including Hong Kong, Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
