IIT Guwahati changes GATE 2026 exam centre for location number 2082; MTech exams from February 7

Try NowThe Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has changed the GATE 2026 exam centre for candidates allotted the centre number 2082. Candidates can download the revised GATE 2026 admit card from the GOAPS portal at gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
The login credentials to download the revised GATE admit card 2026 include enrollment ID and password.
“The name and address of centre number 2082 have been changed. Candidates are advised to download the revised admit card for centre number 2082 from the GOAPS portal,” the official IITG notice said.
The GATE 2026 examination for MTech admissions will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15 across more than 200 cities, under the coordination of eight zonal institutes, as per the schedule.
The computer-based test (CBT) will be conducted in two shifts: the forenoon shift from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and the afternoon shift from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

The GATE exam 2026 will be conducted for 3 hours and consists of 30 questions in English. The GATE 2026 question paper carries a total of 100 marks, with general aptitude (GA) common to all papers accounting for 15 marks, and the remaining 85 marks covering the specific test paper syllabus.
The GATE 2026 entrance exam is conducted for admission to MTech programmes in IITs and other engineering institutions.

Follow the instructions below to download the GATE 2026 admit card for the MTech admission.
- Go to the GOAPS portal, gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
- Click on the “GATE 2026 Admit Card” link on the homepage.
- Enter your valid enrolment ID and password.
- The revised GATE admit card will appear on the screen
- Download and take a printout of the hall ticket for your future use.
