IIT Kanpur to host 30th edition of technical fest Techkriti from March 14 to 17
A total of 60,000 footfalls from more than 1,500 colleges worldwide are expected to attend IIT Kanpur's technical and entrepreneurial festival Techkriti.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kanpur) will host the 20th edition of Techkriti from March 14 to 17. The theme for this year’s event is ‘The Cosmic Nexus’. A total of 60,000 participants from around 1500 prestigious colleges from around the globe are expected to attend the event.
This year, the various competitions boast a combined reward pool of more than 55 Lakhs, along with prospects for employment and internships. The festival will feature competitive events spanning various domains, including robogames, take off, software corner, model United Nations, fintech, ECDC, design, and technovation.
Techkriti aims to promote innovation and creativity among students through a diverse range of activities.
Techkriti will also offer various workshops of industry experts from companies such as CISCO, Mastercard, Autodesk, StockGro, Altair, and more. Covering trending topics from AI/ML to ChatGPT and Electric Vehicles, these workshops will provide valuable insights and hands-on learning experiences.
IIT Kanpur director S Ganesh said, “Techkriti has been a bastion of technical and entrepreneurial excellence for decades. I am sure this 30th edition will be a unique opportunity for all the participating students, including aspiring entrepreneurs and tech enthusiasts to connect, learn, and thrive. Techkriti will host workshops on crucial domains such as IoT with Google, Robotics, Drone, and Blockchain Technology, to demonstrate the advancements in science and technology to future engineers and science enthusiasts. Techkriti's exhibitions will also serve as platforms to showcase ground-breaking innovations and ideas. Highlights include an Auto Expo featuring a stunning Ferrari and other cars, as well as NAO by Softbank Robotics, a humanoid robot revolutionising human-robot interaction.
