IIT Kharagpur Placements 2024–25: 1,800 offers made on day 3, nine bag Rs 1 crore salary packages

More than 400 companies from different sectors including software, analytics, finance, banking, consulting, and core engineering took part in the recruitment process.
Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) has recorded more than 1,800 job offers, including 409 Pre-Placement (PPOs) and 25 international packages from top global recruiters during its 2024-25 placement season, according to an official statement.
Notably, nine students have also received job offers with annual packages exceeding Rs 1 crore. The highest package offered so far is Rs 2.14 crore per annum, the institute said.
Amit Patra, director, IIT Kharagpur said: “The achievement of over 1,800 placement offers in the 2024-25 season marks a defining moment for IIT Kharagpur, reaffirming our stature as a global leader in shaping the next generation of industry-ready innovators. Over 400 companies and 1800 plus offers
According to the institute, more than 800 job offers were made within the first two days of the placement drive, with the number crossing 1,000 by the end of Day 3.
