IIT Mandi opens applications for multidisciplinary research fair 'Anusandhan 2.0'

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi is inviting applications from researchers and scholars for Anusandhan 2.0, a multidisciplinary research and innovation fair scheduled for June 18 and 19. The last date for registration is June 7.
Interested researchers and scholars can submit their abstracts or full-length papers at scri.iitmandi.ac.in to participate in Anusandhan 2.0. The last date for paper submission is June 5. Authors should be prepared with their full-length video versions of papers by June 15, the institute said.
Winners of Anusandhan 2.0 will be awarded 18 prizes, including Rs 44,000 in cash and 18 coupons for purchasing books from Springer Publications. All participants will receive certificates.
Anusandhan 2.0, organised by the SCRI (Society for Collaborative Research and Innovation) club of research society students Gymkhana from IIT Mandi, will host leading scholars, researchers, and industry experts from various IITs across India. Participants will showcase their innovative ideas through paper presentations, posters, and interactive sessions.
The event will feature keynote speakers including Ramancharla Pradeep Kumar (Director, CSIR-CBRI), Rama Shankar Verma (Director, MNNIT Allahabad), Animesh Biswas (Professor, IIT Kanpur), and NP Padhy (Director, MNIT Jaipur). Several alumni from IIT Mandi will also participate.
As a multidisciplinary fair, Anusandhan 2.0 will cover fields such as engineering and technology, basic sciences, medical sciences, management, and humanities and social sciences. The theme of the event is "Interdisciplinary Research: Goals for a Sustainable Future," with multiple sub themes focusing on key aspects of diverse fields. Anusandhan 2.0 aims to promote Himalayan engagement with research initiatives and hill-based events, attracting researchers from various disciplines.
Hitesh Sharma, the Dean of Students at IIT Mandi, said: "Anusandhan 2.0 will bring out the technical creativity of the participants. With this year's theme, many societal challenges will be addressed by Indian researchers and scholars."
