IIT Patna opens MTech admissions in 15 specialisations at iitp.ac.in; Over 300 seats available

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IITP) has opened applications for master's in technology (MTech) admissions in 15 different specialisations. The candidates interested in the two-year technology programme can apply on IIT Patna's official website- iitp.ac.in.
The Institute has offered over 300 seats divided into regular, full-time and sponsored categories. A total of 15 specialisations including civil, computer science, artificial intelligence, chemical, mechanical and material science engineering among others.

IIT Patna MTech Admission 2023: Eligibility
The institute will be offering regular and full-time seats to students with a bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, MSc or an equivalent professional degrees. The students will also to have a valid GATE score. General category applicants must have a minimum of 60% marks while SC, ST category candidates must have 55% marks in the qualifying examination.

In addition to this, candidates that are to still appear for the degree qualifying exams can also apply, provided that they complete all minimum requirements before July 2023. If selected, the candidate will be admitted provisionally and will have to submit their final degree by October 31, 2023. The selection process of IIT Patna MTech admission 2023 is based on GATE scores for regular and full-time category via COAP portal.
The institute has informed that the candidates applying for the MTech regular and full-time category, expect bachelor degree holders from IITs with a minimum CPI of 8.0, must use their GATE and COAP registration number while filling the online application. The application can be rejected if not followed.

Students such as sponsored full-time candidates and project staff will be required a valid GATE score for admission to IIT Patna's MTech programme. Regular full-time students will receive assistantships from the institute meanwhile part-time students will not.
