In a first, ICAI launches smart classrooms for CA students
The ICAI online classrooms will provide access to online resources, personalized learning, digital note-taking, instant feedback, and more.

NEW DELHI: The Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) has launched first-ever smart classrooms for CA students. ICAI president CA Aniket S Talati and institute vice-president CA Ranjeet K Agarwal inaugurated the classrooms at the western regional office in Mumbai. The initiative has been done by the Students Skills Enrichment Board.
“CA Aniket S Talati, President-ICAI with CA Ranjeet K Agarwal, Vice President-ICAI & CCMs-ICAI inaugurated ICAI's first ever Smart Class Room for CA Students at its Western Regional Office in Mumbai with an aim to enhance the role of Digitization in CA Education,” said ICAI in a social media post.
As per the institute, there are 361 skill development centres across the country which are equipped with the latest interactive touch panels, Open Pluggable System (OPS), and video conferencing solutions to provide an “immersive learning experience” to students.

These smart classrooms will provide an interactive learning experience, access to online resources, facilitated collaboration and team work, personalised learning with adaptive tools, digital note-taking, instant feedback, integration of remote learning, dynamic multimedia presentations, reduced environmental footprint, and continuous professional development for teachers.
The highlights of the newly launched classrooms are new adjustable pen, easy import and export system, enhanced page viewer, document viewer. The institute also showed via a presentation steps to connect to a laptop, mobile, and through wifi and NFC tagging; steps to import using a USB device and from a network drive; and how to send mails.
