The Continuing Education Programme (CEP), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has announced admissions for the 4th batch of its 8 month online Certificate Programme in Applied Data Science and Artificial Intelligence: From Fundamentals to Deployment. The programme is aimed at professionals looking to build scalable, data-driven solutions and strengthen their understanding of artificial intelligence and data science.

The programme is offered through CEP and the Centre for Applied Research in Electronics. It will train applicants to work with large and complex datasets, address organisational challenges and apply AI across business functions. The programme will also cover applications in areas such as human resources, customer relationship management, risk management and organisational transparency.

The 8 month programme comes as organisations increasingly adopt AI for innovation, productivity and decision-making. The course is designed to help professionals understand how AI can be applied while developing judgement, adaptability and AI fluency.

Eligibility and application deadline

Graduates and diploma holders who have finished a 10+2+3 educational pathway from a recognised university can apply. IIT Delhi will give preference to applicants from computer science, information technology, electronics, electrical engineering, physics and related disciplines.

The application process for the fourth batch will close on November 13, 2026. Applicants will get an e-certificate issued by CEP, IIT Delhi.

Nine-module curriculum

The nine-module curriculum covers the data science and artificial intelligence lifecycle, starting with Python programming, data manipulation and exploratory data analysis, It will then move into advanced topics including deep learning, reinforcement learning and natural language processing.

The programme includes hands-on projects and concludes with model deployment strategies using Docker and cloud platforms. It will also introduce applicants to machine learning operations and responsible AI practices. Candidates will complete more than 300 hours of live and self-paced learning, supported by real-world case studies and a capstone project.
