Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi commences summer camp 2025

The IIIT Delhi ninth summer camp involves the TLF programme exclusively for girls of Classes 9-12.
The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Delhi inaugurated the ninth edition of its summer camp on June 2, 2025. The summer camp is poised to run from June 2 till June 27, for students of Classes 6-12 from government and public schools across Delhi.
The IIIT Delhi summer camp features two different programmes for Classes 6-8 and for Classes 9-12. The Teach Like a Friend (TLF) programme has been designed exclusively for girls belonging to Classes 9-12. According to the official statement, 137 boys and 146 girls are enrolled for the summer camp, while 116 girls have enrolled for the TLF camp.
The academic modules for students of Classes 6-8 will include “astrogeo, introduction to AI, experimental sciences, critical reasoning, and product development and selling”. The afternoon activities will consist of “dramatics, arts and crafts, public speaking, playzone, and indoor sports”, the statement said.

Similarly, the academic subjects for Classes 9-12 under the TLF programme will be core subjects like mathematics, English, physics, computer science, and general testing. The co-curricular activities for the older students will be “shark tank, design and fashion, mystery labs, theatre and dance”.
Summer programme at IIIT Delhi
Eighty student volunteers and five student coordinators will ensure that the one-month summer camp at IIIT Delhi combines both theoretical and practical knowledge, enriching the experience of the attendees. The learning experience will be based on worksheets, quizzes and rewards, to make knowledge-sharing an enjoyable affair.
The inauguration ceremony on June 2 was graced by Ranjan Bose, director of IIIT Delhi, Deepika Bhaskar, registrar, and other faculty.
On the IIIT Delhi summer camp 2025, Bose commented, “The summer camp at IIIT Delhi offers a unique, immersive experience in a vibrant academic setting, helping students build soft skills in a fun, engaging way. The camp's interdisciplinary approach is designed to nurture creativity, confidence, and collaboration, encouraging learning beyond the classroom. We hope these experiences leave a lasting impact on their personal growth and inspire them to face future challenges with courage and curiosity.”
