ISRO Recruitment 2026: Applications open for 97 technical posts; apply by November 9

The Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR (SDSC SHAR), under the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), has invited online applications for 97 vacancies across technical and non-technical posts. The application process began on October 19, and eligible candidates can apply until November 9, 2026.

The ISRO recruitment notification, Advertisement No. SDSC SHAR/RMT/03/2026, includes vacancies for Technical Assistant, Scientific Assistant, Library Assistant ‘A’, Nurse ‘B’, Technician ‘B’, Draughtsman ‘B’, Fireman ‘A’, Light Vehicle Driver ‘A’, Heavy Vehicle Driver ‘A’ and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS).

Candidates can submit their applications through the official websites, shar.gov.in or apps.shar.gov.in. Applications must be submitted online, along with the applicable fee, by 11:59 pm on November 9.

ISRO SDSC Recruitment 2026: Posts and vacancies

The recruitment includes positions for candidates with engineering diplomas, bachelor’s degrees, nursing qualifications, ITI certificates and Class 10 qualifications, depending on the post.

Some of the vacancies are for mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science and engineering, electronics and communication engineering, civil engineering, physics and fine arts. The notification also includes driver, fireman and MTS positions.

ISRO Recruitment 2026: Eligibility criteria

The educational qualifications and experience requirements vary by post.

• Technical Assistant: First-class diploma in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognised university or institution.
• Scientific Assistant: First-class BSc with Physics as the main subject and Mathematics and Chemistry as ancillary subjects for the Physics post.
• Library Assistant ‘A’: First-class graduation and a first-class master’s degree in Library Science, Library and Information Science or an equivalent qualification.
• Nurse ‘B’: First-class nursing diploma of at least three years’ duration, recognised by the state or central government. The qualification must be registered with the respective State Nursing Council.
• Technician ‘B’: Class 10 or equivalent qualification along with the relevant ITI, NTC or NAC certificate from NCVT.
• Driver posts: Class 10 or equivalent qualification, a valid driving licence and the prescribed driving experience, depending on the post.
• Multi-Tasking Staff: Matriculation, SSLC, SSC or an equivalent qualification.
