JMI 12th Result: Girls performed better than boys in the science and arts stream, and boys performed better in the commerce stream.
NEW DELHI: Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has declared the Class 12 result for science, arts and commerce streams today, June 1, 2022. Students can check the JMI 12th result on the Jamia Millia Islamia university website -- jmicoe.in.
Mohammad Qadir Nawab topped the JMI 12th exam for the science stream by scoring 95 percent marks. He was hollowed by Rashid Zaman who scored 93.6 percent marks and Sidra Bukhari with 93.4 percent marks. In the arts stream, Zulekha Akhtar topped the exam with 96.8 percent marks. She was followed by Sheikh Waris Ahmed Azad with 95.2 percent marks and Kulsoom Fatama with 94.8 percent marks. Hana, Iffat Jahan and Arham Khan secured the top three ranks for the JMI Class 12 commerce stream exam. Hana topped the exam with 94.6 percent marks, while Iffat Jahan was placed second with 92.8 percent marks and Arham Khan third with 91.8 percent of marks.

According to a statement from Jamia Millia Islamia, about 52.35 percent of the students whose papers were assessed were boys and 47.65 percent were girls. JMI vice-chancellor Najma Akhter congratulated the students and wished them a bright future. About 99.79 percent of students cleared the JMI 12th science stream exam while in the arts stream, the pass percentage was 97.46 percent and 98.24 percent in the commerce stream.
Girls performed better than boys in the science and arts stream with 168 male and 170 female candidates securing first division with distinction in the science stream and 96 male and 128 female students securing first division with distinction in the arts stream. In the commerce stream, 66 male and 34 female students secured first division with distinction.
