The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Roorkee) has extended the JEE Advanced registration 2026 last date to May 5. Candidates, who qualified NTA JEE Mains 2026, can register for the computer-based Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced) through the official website at jeeadv.ac.in.

Around 2.5 lakh candidates, seeking admission to engineering or BTech programmes at various IITs across the country, qualified for JEE Advanced 2026. They can access the JEE Advanced registration link through a direct link at jeeadv.nic.in.
The JEE Advanced registration process requires candidates to enter their JEE (Main) 2026 application number and password.
The engineering institute has already announced the JEE Advanced 2026 exam date for engineering admissions. The BTech college entrance test will be held on May 17 in dual shifts.
The morning shift will be held from 9 am to 12 noon, whereas the afternoon shift will be conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm.
IIT Roorkee will issue the JEE Advanced admit card 2026 between May 11 and May 17 for JEE Advanced 2026 registered candidates.
“All candidates who have qualified for JEE (Advanced) 2026 are strongly advised to complete their registration, including payment of fees, at the earliest. Please note that registration will be considered complete only after successful fee payment. Candidates are encouraged not to wait until the last minute,” IIT Roorkee said in an official announcement.
The JEE Advanced registration fee for general category candidates is Rs 3,200, while for female IIT aspirants, the application fee is Rs 1,600.
Similarly, candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories, should have to pay Rs 1,600 as JEE Advanced registration charges.

No, apart from IITs, other engineering institutes across the country also accept JEE Advanced marks for admission to BTech programmes.
Colleges such as Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), Rae Bareli, and Indian Institute of Petroleum & Energy (IIPE), Visakhapatnam.
JEE Advanced 2026 examination is a gateway for qualified JEE Mains candidates aiming for admission to BTech programmes at IITs across the country. Through JEE Advanced, IITs offer admission into undergraduate courses leading to a bachelors, integrated masters, bachelor-master dual degree in engineering, sciences, or architecture.
In some of the IITs, students enrolled into the 4-year bachelors program have the option to pursue BTech (Honors) and/or BTech with minors. Dual Degree students may also pursue a Minor. Further, in some IITs, BTech students also have the option to pursue interdisciplinary dual degree, with bachelors in the parent department and masters in some other department.
