JEE Main 2018 admit card to be available on or before March 12

NEW DELHI, MARCH 6: Candidates who have filled the application of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) need to keep a tab on JEE Main 2018 admit card as it will be made available on or before March 12. CBSE will release the admit card for all the registered candidates in online mode. The national level engineering entrance exam, JEE Main will be held on April 8 in offline mode, whereas, the computer based test (CBT) will be conducted on April 15 and 16, 2018.

To download the admit card students will need to log-in to their account by entering their application number and password along with the security pin. Admit card is an important identity proof for the candidates appearing for the national level engineering entrance exam. It will carry information about the candidate i.e., their name, application number, exam timings, details about the exam centre, and much more. Therefore, it is a must for the candidates to check all the information mentioned on it thoroughly, before downloading it. Admit card acts as an entry ticket for the examination hall, hence candidates need to make sure that they carry the card to the examination centre, otherwise they will not be allowed to appear for the JEE Main exam.

What to do if candidate is unable to download admit card?

There are chances when candidates are unable to download admit card due to problems like forgetting the password etc. In such cases, candidates must use the appropriate option given on the login window to access their admit card and thereafter will be able to download their JEE Main 2018 admit card.

Must read guidelines mentioned on admit card

Admit card will carry some guidelines regarding the entrance exam which every candidates must read and follow. Mentioned below are the few key points given on the admit card for every candidate to follow:

  • Without admit card no candidate will be allowed to appear in the examination.
  • For offline exam, students will be provided with a black ball point pen in the examination hall to darken the circles of response in the answer sheet.
  • Candidates are not allowed to carry any type of pen/pencil, wrist watch to the examination hall/room
  • Request to change city/centre of examination will not be entertained.
  • Candidates should report to the exam center at the given time. Candidate will not be allowed to appear for the examination in case of delay in reporting to exam centre.
  • JEE Main admit card need to be kept safely till the allotment of seat in College/Institution.

Things to be carried along with admit card

Apart from admit card candidates can carry a cardboard or writing pad, if opted for offline exam to place their answer script on it. In case candidates are appearing for the JEE main Paper 2, they will have to carry their own geometry box set, pencils, erasers and colour pencils or Crayons for the drawing paper.
