JEE Main 2020 Live Updates: Day 3 Exam Analysis, Answer Key (Slot 1 & 2)

The Supreme Court of India will be hearing the review plea of six states tomorrow . Six chief ministers of opposition-ruled states had earlier asked for a review of the order to conduct JEE Main and NEET. Since the court had refused to interfere, the review plea has been filed and will be heard tomorrow.

• Physics: It was the toughest part with tricky questions.
• Mathematics: It had questions with lengthy calculations and some questions were asked from vectors.
• Chemistry: Most questions were NCERT based

NTA has concluded JEE Main 2nd shift paper today at 6 pm. The exam was conducted in online mode without any technical glitch and social distancing norms were followed at most of the exam centres. Some people did not follow the JEE Main 2020 SOPs and did not maintain the social distancing at some exam centres, for which students shared their experience on twitter. Now, experts will provide second shift JEE Main paper analysis based on students' inputs.

2nd shift exam of JEE Main today paper will conclude at 6 pm. The exam is being conducted with social distancing norms and JEE Main SOP was followed by most of the exam centres. Students will share their experience regarding JEE Main 2020 paper. Based on student's reaction and inputs experts and coaching institutes will provide JEE Main 2020 question paper and analysis. These question paper and analysis can be used by other students who will appear for NTA JEE 2020 exam in next three days.

JEE Main paper 1 will conclude on September 6, 2020. Thereafter, NTA will release the result for all-day exams on the same day by September 11. Along with this cutoff marks will also be announced and students who score equal to or more than cutoff marks will be eligible for JEE Advanced exam. They will also be eligible for admission in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and other institutes. Here are the last year's cutoff marks for reference of students:

As per the JEE Main exam schedule 2020, second shift exam of day 3 will conclude at 6 pm. Students will be allowed to come out of the exam centre in queues as per social distancing and other SOP norms. NTA has started second shift exam of JEE Main 2020 day 3 across all exam centres. Students were provided with fresh masks at exam centres. They were allowed to enter the exam hall after verifying their admit card and other documents by maintaining social distancing. Today JEE Main paper 2020 was over for first shift students at 12 noon. This exam was conducted by following JEE Main SOPs at most of the exam centres. Most of the students reported that physics was difficult section among all three sections. Hindustan Times reported the following JEE Main paper analysis 2020:

• Mathematics (25 questions) - 20 Multiple choice questions and 5 Numerical based questions
  • Difficulty level - Easy to moderate
  • Questions were asked from Algebra, Co-ordinate Geometry, Calculus and other topics

  • Numerical based questions were tougher than MCQs

  • Difficulty level - Moderate
  • Questions were asked uniformly from Inorganic, Physical and Organic chemistry.
  • Numerical Based questions were lengthy
  • Some questions were from Electrochemistry chapter
  • Some fact-based questions were from NCERT.

First shift exam has been conducted and students provided their views on JEE Main today paper analysis. It has been come out that first shift JEE Main day 3 exam was moderately difficult. During the slot 1 of todays JEE Main paper, students reported that all of the COVID-19 guidelines were properly followed by the authorities. When asked questions regarding how was JEE Main 2020 paper, the students had mostly positive feedback about the conduct of the exam. Hand sanitizers were provided everywhere at the centres of JEE Main today and social distancing was also followed. Minimal contact was encouraged between individual.

NTA sent the following insructions by SMS to parents for their, their child and other's security, so that JEE 2020 exams can be conducted smoothly:

"Dear Parents,
For you, your ward, and everyone's safety, we request your co-operation on the following.

- Please drop your ward as far as possible away from the exam venue and pick up your ward from the same place post-examination completion.
- Please do not wait near the Exam venue after dropping your ward to avoid crowding near the Exam venue.
- Request you to reach the venue as per the time indicated against Reporting/ Entry Time at Centre in Admit Card only.
- Kindly do adhere to the given time-slot.

We thank you for your understanding and co-operation in ensuring the safety of everyone."

Third day exam of JEE Main 3 September 2020 will conclude at 12 noon. Students will come out of exam centre by maintaining social distancing. Students are suggested to report at their exam centre at least 1 hour before the scheduled JEE Main exam timing 2020 to avoid the last-minute hassle. No latecomers are allowed to enter in JEE September 2020 exam centre.

Ministry of health and family welfare has released the new guidelines of JEE Main SOP. The following guidelines will be applicable to the staff, students and parents.

• No examination centre in the containment zones
• Symptomatic candidates are not allowed to enter the JEE Main 2020 exam centre
• Invigilator and students are not allowed to touch any answer sheet or question paper without sanitization of hands.
• Enough entry & exits gates for students and staff shall be ensured
• Maintaining physical distancing of a minimum of 6 feet in the queue.

For providing relief to students, National Students Union of India (NSUI) demanded re-examination for the students who did not appear for JEE Main paper 1 and 2 due to any problem amid Coronavirus pandemic, as per Hindustan Times report.

On the second day of JEE Main examination 2020, there was an improvement in the attendance of students at  in Ranchi. As per TOI report, around 85% students appeared for JEE Main 2 September 2020 exam at Tata Consultancy Services centres located at Tupudana and Tatisilwai. Around 750 students per session were expected to appear for the exam at this centre.

NTA has commenced JEE Main 2020 exam today at 9 am across 660 exam centres. Students reported at right time and authorities get them in the exam centre after proper checking of their admit card and other documents. Students could carry only the allowed things in the exam centre. This exam will be continued till 12 noon. After that, they will provide their review on 'how is today JEE Main paper 2020'.

Entry gates for JEE Main 2020 have been closed at exam centres. Latecomers will now not be allowed to get entry. This exam of JEE Main paper 1 will be continued till 12 Noon. The exam will be conducted in online mode. The authorities checked student's JEE Main 2020 admit card and other things thoroughly and maintained social distancing. JEE Main 2020 shift 1 exam is being conducted as per latest SOPs.

The following things are not allowed inside the exam centre of jee main nta.nic.in:

• Any textual material
• Calculators
• Docu pen
• Slide rules
• Log tables
• Electronic watches with calculator
• Printed or written material
• Mobile phone, pager or any other device

While appearing for JEE Main paper 1 on day 3, students should follow and remember these instructions in the wake of COVID-19 :

• Maintain social distancing
• Wear a mask all the time inside and outside the exam centre
• Follow the instructions mentioned outside the exam centre
• Reach exam centre before the time
• Don't touch any surfaces unnecessarily
• Avoid standing in large groups and crowding

Students are allowed to carry the following things into the exam centre:

• Admit card
• JEE Main 2020 declaration form
• A simple transparent ball point pen
• Passport size photograph
• Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml)
• Transparent water bottle

Apart from this, students should wear a mask all the time. At the exam centre, the authorities will provide them a fresh 2 ply masks

After an hour, JEE Main day 3 paper 1 will start at 9 am today for B.E. and B.Tech admissions. The reporting for JEE Main 2020 was started at 7:30 am. Students need to carry the hard copy of their admit card, self-declaration form, valid ID proof and other required things mentioned in the admit card. Most students appearing for JEE Main know that the syllabus is vast. the trick with such a big exam is to keep the focus on the most important topics, formulae and use them to arrive at the solutions. For a student, who is prepared, this is a given deal. some tips to follow while you are waiting your turn are

• Revise those very important formulae so that you dont forget at the right time.
• Check the tricky problems and refresh your memory on how the solution has gone.
• Check your short notes
• Run through solutions from the past year papers.

JEE Main 2020 exam day tips

• Inside the exam hall, take some time to check the questions and read the instructions well.
• Check the questions twice. sometimes tricky questions need a second reading
• Time your answers but DONT rush
• Answer all questions that you know the answers too and are sure of
• Remember JEE Main 2020 questions carry negative marking.
• After answering all questions you know the answers to, turn to the questions you can solve.
• Your safety and health is in your hands. So follow all the safety rules, keep a distance, sanitize at every chance.

NTA will commence the JEE Main 2020 exam day 2 session 1 at 9 am. Candidates will need to report as per the time mentioned on their JEE Main 2020 admit cards. They should keep the following in mind

• The self declaration with the JEE Main admit card must be filled beforehand, a photo affixed, signature of parents placed, left thumb impression also placed in the given space. This must be carried to the exam hall along with the JEE Main 2020 admit card
• They must carry a photo ID, a small 50 ml hand sanitizer bottle, wear a mask and carry an extra one, a transparent ball pen and a transparent bottle of water
• They must follow all NTA issued exam day guidelines which are COVID related like social distancing, avoiding grouping at exam hall gates, sanitizing hands etc.
• They must agree to thermal screening, and follow the instructions given at the JEE Main exam hall
• They must drop the JEE Main admit card with self declaration form filled in, the rough sheets used in the drop box
