JEE Main 2020 Sept registration statistics released; 7.12 percent decrease

The National Testing Agency has released the JEE Main September/ April registration statistics on August 17. As per the latest notification released by NTA at nta.ac.in, a total of 8,58,273 candidates have registered for JEE Main 2020 April exam out of which 746115 have applied only for B.Tech. The authorities have also released the JEE Main 2020 admit card at jeemain.nta.nic.in on August 17.

The JEE Main exam dates 2020 are September 1 to 6. NTA will be conducting the entrance test in online mode at 605 Centres for B.Tech./B.E. and 489 centres for B.Arch. and B.Planning located in 224 cities throughout the country and 08 cities abroad. JEE Main 2020 exam will be held in two slots. The first session of JEE Main exam 2020 will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM while the second session from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Candidates can check the details on their JEE Main admit card.
The authorities have witnessed 7.12 per cent decrease in the total number of candidates who registered for the paper 1 of JEE Main 2020 April session as compared to the January session. For JEE Main 2020 January exam, a total of 9,21,261 had registered for B.Tech exam.

NTA has also highlighted about the "Important Instructions for Candidates" and "Advisory for Candidates regarding COVID-19" mentioned in the JEE Main 2020 admit card PDF in the official notice. As the exam will be conducted in the prevailing COVID-19 conditions only, candidates must check all the JEE Main 2020 exam day guidelines mentioned by the authorities. The authorities have made all efforts for smooth conduct of the JEE Main 2020 exam. All parents/guardians are advised to cooperate and follow all the instruction given in the JEE Main admit card 2020.
Candidates will also have to fill the Self-Declaration/Undertaking mentioned in the JEE Main 2020 admit card and carry the dully filled undertaking to the exam centre. The Undertaking is regarding the Cough-like symptoms, close contact with COVID-19 patient, travel history of the candidates. However, candidates should not sign the undertaking as it has to be done in the presence of the invigilator. Candidates can also send an email to jeemain@nta.ac.in in case of any problem in downloading JEE Main 2020 admit card along with the undertaking.
