JEE Main 2021: Exam cities increased to 334 for third, fourth sessions

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has increased the JEE Main exam cities from 232 to 334 for the 3rd and 4th sessions of the exam.

Try NowNEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has increased the JEE Main exam cities from 232 to 334 for the third and fourth sessions of the exam. Along with this, the number of JEE Main exam centres 2021 in every shift will be increased from 660 to 828. NTA released an official notification regarding the increase in JEE Main 2021 exam centres/ cities on the official website. The authorities will also allow students to change their previously selected JEE Main exam centres during the correction period.

Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ announced the JEE Main exam dates 2021 for the 3rd and 4th sessions yesterday. The NTA also released an official notification for the JEE Main dates 2021. As per the new JEE Main 2021 exam dates, 3rd sessions will be conducted from July 20 to 25 and 4th session dates are July 27 to August 2. The authorities have also re-opened the JEE Main registration and correction for the 3rd session from July 6 to 8. The JEE Main application form and correction facility for the 4th session will be available from July 9 to 12.
JEE Main 2021: Exam day guidelines and protocols for 3rd and 4th session
NTA has also listed some of the JEE Main exam day guidelines and protocols in its official notice for the upcoming sessions. These are mentioned below.

Candidates will have to follow all COVID-19 protocols during the examination.

Face masks will be provided to candidates at the JEE Main centres 2021.

Along with the common places, all the computers and seats will be sanitized. Any computer set used in the first shift will not be used in the next shift.

Candidates will be called in staggered time slots for reporting to avoid crowding at JEE Main 2021 exam centres.

Social distancing norms will be followed throughout the exam session.

The exam halls in which JEE Main 3rd and 4th sessions will be conducted will have open windows and fans for proper air circulation.
As per the notice, a total of 6.80 lakh candidates had registered for the April session (3rd) and 6.09 lakh candidates for the May (4th) session. Now, candidates have been given a chance to register or withdraw from the upcoming JEE Main 2021 sessions again.
