NEW DELHI: The Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan announced the new exam dates for JEE Main 2021 4th session yesterday, July 15. According to the new dates, the JEE Main 4th session exam will be conducted on August 26, 27, 31, September 1 and 2. The decision was taken due to the clash between the third and fourth session JEE Main 2021 dates.

JEE Main 2021 3rd session is scheduled for July 20, 22, 25 and 27. Many students welcomed the decision and thanked the minister. However, several students said that it would only waste time as the third wave of COVID-19 is expected in the country.

A JEE aspirant said that the decision was a big relief for JEE droppers.

Another Twitter user expressed how happy he was with the decision and said that the minister deserved “the famous CR7 (Cristiano Ronaldo) commentary”.

Another student thanked the minister for increasing the gap between JEE Main 3rd and 4th sessions.

As there are indications of the third wave of COVID-19, several students said that the further extension of JEE Main 2021 fourth session was a waste of time.

Another student expressed his disappointment and said that the rescheduling of JEE Main 4th session dates will only add stress to candidates.

Another Twitter user, Vaibhav, said that the decision was “absolutely unnecessary”. He also said that “there was no use of the 4th session; only 3 sessions were sufficient”.

The last date to fill the JEE Main application form for phase 4 has also been extended till July 20. As per the tweet by the education minister, a total of 7.32 lakh candidates have already registered for the JEE Main session 4 exam.
