NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court today dismissed the pleas seeking additional sessions for JEE Main 2022 candidates for both phase 1 and 2 which were disrupted due to technical glitches. Refusing to entertain the plea, Justice DY Chandrachud said, "Let there be some finality. You are increasing the anxiety of students also by filing petitions," as per the Live Law report.

The bench comprising Justices DY Chandrachud, AS Bopanna and JB Pardiwala heard the petitions seeking to direct the National Testing Agency (NTA) for extra attempts for JEE Main 2022 aspirants.

With just two days left for the IIT JEE Advanced 2022 exam, the bench said that it will not interfere at a belated stage.

"Let the exam happen on Sunday. We don't want to interfere", Justice Chandrachud, as per the report.

On July 29, the apex court directed the NTA to permit 15 candidates, who faced technical glitches in the first session of the JEE Main 2022, to participate in the additional session scheduled for July 30, 2022. The NTA declared the JEE Main result 2022 for session 2 on August 8 on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The top 2,50,000 JEE Main candidates who are eligible for the JEE Advanced exam 2022 and who have registered for the JEE Advanced 2022 will be appearing for the exam on August 28, 2022.
