The shift 1 exam was easy in difficulty level with a lengthy mathematics paper, while shift 2 was moderately difficult. The JEE Main 2023 exam today was held in two slots. The first slot was held from 9 am to 12 noon and the second slot was conducted between 3 pm and 6 pm. The JEE Mains 2023 which started on April 6 will continue till April 15.
Students who appeared for the JEE Main 2023 April session exam on Thursday, said that the overall difficulty level was balanced and moderate. Several students also said that the JEE Main day 1 exam was in line with the January session 2023 exam.

JEE Main 2023 exam BTech paper will be held for multiple choice questions on physics, chemistry and mathematics. Each subject will carry 100 marks and the exam will be of 300 marks in total.
The JEE Main 2023 April 11 admit card is available at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
If a candidate appears in more than one session then their best of the JEE Main 2023 NTA scores will be considered for preparation of the result.
Practicing the IIT JEE Main previous year question papers will let the students know the JEE exam pattern and high-yielding topics.
The JEE Main 2023 exam will be held for 300 marks.
The NTA said that if a candidate indulges in unfair means or cheating, they will be booked under the unfair means (UFM) case and may be debarred for three years in the future. The candidate “shall also be liable for criminal action and /or any other action as deemed fit.”
As per JEE Main 2023 marking scheme for MCQs: "Correct answer or the most appropriate answer four marks, incorrect answer minus one mark, unanswered or marked for review no mark.”

The JEE Main 2023 exam time tomorrow is 9 am to 12 noon and 3 pm to 6 pm.
Candidates must check the names and other details including photographs and signatures as mentioned on the JEE admit card. Any discrepancy in the JEE Mains hall ticket should be reported to the NTA immediately. The candidate will definitely be allowed to appear in the examination with the already downloaded JEE admit card. However, NTA will take necessary action to make corrections in the record later.

The overall difficulty of JEE Main Session 2 held on April 8 Shift 1 was easy to moderate. Mathematics was the most difficult subject to attempt out of all three subjects. The order of difficulty in different subjects- as assessed by experts is Mathematics > Physics > Chemistry.

As per the JEE Main session 2 exam dates, the next exam of JEE Main will be held on April 10. The JEE Main round 2 dates are April 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13 and April 15.
NTA will hold JEE Main 2023 for 9.4 lakh candidates at various centers situated in over 330 cities across the nation, including 15 cities outside of India.

To be eligible for JEE Main 2023 session 2, candidates must have secured a minimum of 75% marks (65% for SC or ST category) or be in the top 20 percentile in Class 12.
After April 8, NTA will conduct the JEE main session 2 exams 2023 on April 10, 2023.
In terms of order of Difficulty – Maths was Moderately Tough , Chemistry was Moderate Level, while Physics was Easy. Overall, this paper was Moderate to Tough level as per students.

The NTA has not announced the JEE Main admit card 2023 release date for session 2. However, the hall tickets for April 6, 8, and 10 has been released. Candidates appearing for the JEE session 2 exams on other dates will be able to download the admit card soon from the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
JEE Main exam 2023 for BE, BTech courses will consist of 90 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) carrying 300 marks.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has already issued admit cards for JEE Main 2023 April 6, 8 and 10. The hall tickets for the upcoming exams for session 2 will be released subsequently. However, the NTA has already intimated the exam city to candidates before the JEE Main 2023 admit card was released.

Tie between candidates obtaining equal Total NTA scores in Paper 1 (BE, BTech) will be resolved in the following manner in descending order:
There will be a JEE Main 2023 negative marking for Section A and Section B in all the three subjects. While four marks will be allotted for each correct answer, one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer marked. For questions unanswered in JEE Main 2023 and marked for review, no marks will be provided.

"Every student was made to go through a sanitizing station where they had to sanitize themselves through a foot press lever. Students reported that entry was stopped after 8:30 am. Personal masks were not allowed. Every student was given a fresh surgical mask at entry. Metal detectors were used at the entry gate and no bags or wrist watches were allowed inside."
Students were not allowed to carry anything inside examination hall except a ball point pen, admit card and Aadhaar card. transparent water bottles were allowed.
Chemistry question paper was easy to moderate in difficulty level. Organic & Inorganic Chemistry had questions directly from NCERT books. Less weightage given to Physical Chemistry that too in numerical section. In Physical Chemistry questions were asked from Electrochemistry, Ionic Equilibrium, Chemical Kinetics, Chemical Equilibrium and Atomic Structure. Organic Chemistry had questions from Aldehydes & Ketones, Atul & Alkyl Halides, Amines, Alcohols, Biomolecules and General Organic Chemistry. Inorganic had questions from Co-ordination Compounds, Chemistry in Everyday Life, Group-18. Few questions from Organic Chemistry were tricky but not tough.
As per the JEE Main April 8 question paper analysis 2023, physics questions were asked from Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Rotational Motion, Work, Power & Energy, Error Analysis, Capacitance, Magnetism, Semi-Conductors ,Current Electricity, Communication Systems, Modern Physics, Electrostatics. Numerical based questions were easy. Overall, the students felt this section was balanced and easy.
Students found the mathematics section to be moderate. Questions were asked from all chapters with emphasis on chapters of Algebra and Calculus. Questions were also asked from Matrices, Determinants, 3D Geometry, Vectors, Progressions, Permutation & Combination, Probability, Binomial Theorem, Complex Numbers, Differentiation, Differential Equations, Definite Integrals, Area under Curves, Parabola & Circle. The Numerical section had lengthy calculations. Few questions in MCQs were reported as lengthy but not tough.
JEE Main 2023 Paper Analysis | Questions covered almost all chapters of Class 11 and 12 CBSE board. The aspirants said that the question paper was balanced in terms of coverage of chapters and was similar to January session.
The NTA will be conducting JEE Main 2023 session 2 shift 2 exam from 3 PM to 6 PM.
The JEE Main 2023 April session exam duration for paper 1 (BE, BTech), paper 2A (BArch) and 2B (B Planning) is 3 hours whereas for papers 2A and 2B it is 3 hours and 30 minutes.

The JEE Main Day 2 shift 1 paper had questions that covered almost all chapters of Class 11 and 12 of the CBSE Board. The paper was balanced as per students in terms of coverage of chapters. Students reported the paper similar to the January session.

Candidates will be required to take the JEE Main admit card 2023 to the exam centre. Along with the hall ticket, they must carry any one of the original and valid photo identification proof issued by the government - PAN card or driving license or voter id or passport or Aadhaar card with photograph or e-aadhaar or ration card or identification affidavit.
