NEW DELHI: The morning shift of the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) Btech, BE paper held today, January 29 had the easiest physics and a moderately tough mathematics paper. The first shift was held from 9 am to 12 noon and was held for a total of 300 marks. The paper 1 questions, as per the students’ analysis, were “moderate”. JEE Main January 31 Live Updates

The JEE Main 2023 BTech paper, as per students of FIITJEE was of moderate level with questions covering almost all chapters of CBSE Class 11 and Class 12 syllabus. The difficulty level, as per students, was balanced.

JEE Main January 29 Shift 1 Expert Analysis

“Questions covered almost all chapters of Class 11 and 12 CBSE Board. Balanced Paper as per students in terms of coverage of chapters. Easier compared to last year as per students.,” Ramesh Batlish Head, FIITJEE Noida said.

The JEE Main BTech paper comprised three subjects -- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with two sections - 1 and 2. While Section 1 of JEE Main 2023 had 20 multiple-choice questions with a single correct answer, the JEE Main Section 2 had 10 numerical-based questions out of which only five had to be answered.

  • Moderately Tough Questions were asked from all chapters with emphasis on Chapters of Conic Sections and Algebra.
  • Some good questions asked from Straight Lines, Circles, Hyperbola, Binomial Theorem, Complex Numbers, Statistics, Mathematical Reasoning, Probability, Matrices, Progressions, 3 D Geometry, Definite Integrals, Area under Curves, Differential Equations.
  • Few questions in MCQs were reported Lengthy and Tricky.

JEE Main 2023: January 29 shift 1 Physics Paper Analysis

  • Easy Questions asked from Kinematics, Friction, Laws of Motions, Heat and Thermodynamics, Electrostatics, Magnetism, AC Circuits, Current Electricity, Surface Tension, Gravitation, Rotational Motion, Friction, Wave Optics, Semiconductors and Communication Systems.
  • Few Numerical based questions were Easy.
  • Overall, this section was balanced as per students.

  • Questions covered Chemistry in Everyday Life, Environmental Chemistry, Co-ordination Compounds, Aldehydes and Ketones, Hydrocarbons, Biomolecules, Chemical Bonding, Solutions, Atomic Structure.
  • Fact based questions from NCERT were easy.
