NEW DELHI: The Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) shift 1 Paper 1- BTech, BE paper held today January 30 had the easiest chemistry, easy to moderate physics paper and a moderately tough mathematics paper. The morning shift was conducted between 9 am to 12 noon and was held for a total of 300 marks. As per the students’ analysis, the overall difficulty level of the JEE Main January 30 shift 1 paper was 'moderate'. JEE Main January 31 Live Updates

The JEE Main 2023 BTech paper, as per students of FIITJEE was easier than last year and was a balanced paper. The difficulty level of the JEE paper 1 was of moderate level with questions covering almost all chapters of CBSE Class 11 and Class 12 syllabus.

"In terms of order of Difficulty – Maths was Moderately Tough while Physics was Easy to Moderate Level, while Chemistry was Easy. Overall, this paper was Moderate level as per students," Ramesh Batlish Head, FIITJEE Noida said.

  • Moderately Tough Level.
  • Weightage was given to chapters of Algebra and Calculus.
  • Questions asked from Parabola, Ellipse, Definite Integrals, Area, Differential Equations, Matrices, Probability, Permutation and Combination, Determinants, Vectors, 3D Geometry, Binomial Theorem, Complex numbers, Progression Series.
  • Both MCQs and Numerical Based questions required lengthy calculations.
  • This section was Lengthy and Tricky as per few students.

JEE Main 2023 Paper 1 Analysis: January 30 Shift 1 Physics

  • Easy to moderate level.
  • Weightage given to chapters of Kinematics, Work Power and Energy, Heat and Thermodynamics, Ray Optics, Current Electricity, Electrostatics, AC Circuits, Modern Physics, Communication Systems, Capacitors.
  • Numerical based questions were reported as Easy.
  • This section was balanced overall.

  • Easy level.
  • Physical Chemistry was given more weightage in Numerical Section as compared to Organic & Inorganic Chemistry.
  • Inorganic Chemistry was given more weightage as compared to Organic Chemistry.
  • Questions asked from Environmental Chemistry, Chemistry in Everyday Life, Polymers, Biomolecules, Hydrocarbons, Ethers & Phenols, Aryl and Alkyl halides, Chemical Equilibrium, Atomic Structure, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics.
