The NTA conducted the JEE Main session 2 exams from April 4 to 12 for paper 1 BE, BTech and BArch and BPlanning. Through this exam, admission to undergraduate engineering programmes such BE, BTech are offered at National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and institutions, universities funded or recognized by participating state governments.
Moreover, JEE Main 2024 is also an eligibility test for appearing in JEE Advanced exam 2024 for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). As per the eligibility criteria, only the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main rank holders will be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced. This year, JEE Adv 2024 is scheduled to be held on May 26.
Since the testing agency held the JEE Main exam in two sessions and on multiple shifts, the raw scores obtained by candidates will be calculated as NTA scores and will be converted into percentile scores for preparing the JEE results.
“In the event of the percentiles for the multi-shifts being dissimilar/unequal, the lowest will be the eligibility cut-off for that category for all candidates (i.e. all shifts),” it said.
Candidates who secure the minimum JEE Main cut-off will be declared qualified by the NTA. The JEE expected cut-off as per past trends, difficulty level of exam is given below.
