NTA will close the JEE Main 2025 application correction window today to change photographs in the JEE Main 2025 application form. The National Testing Agency (NTA) observed errors in the images uploaded by the candidates during the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2025 registration. 

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut will admit students to its BTech programmes through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2025 for the academic session 2025-26. The institute witnessed a high JEE Main cut-off for architecture last year which was recorded at 138 for female-only seats in home state quota.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2025 from January 22 to 30. JEE Main 2025 paper 1 for BE, BTech is scheduled for January 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29 whereas JEE Main 2025 paper 2 will take place on January 30. 

The NTA has banned a few items that candidates should not carry inside the JEE Main 2025 exam center.

• Electronic devices: This includes mobile phones, calculators, log tables, pagers, tablets, and laptops.
• Books, notebooks, and paper: Candidates are not allowed to carry any books, notebooks, or loose sheets of paper.
• Pen or pencil: Candidates should not carry their pens or pencils to the examination hall.
• Bags or backpacks: Candidates should avoid carrying bags, backpacks, or any kind of luggage.
• ID cards: ID cards issued by schools, colleges, universities, or coaching centres are not permitted.
• Eatables and water: Candidates should not carry any food items or water bottles.

As per the National Testing Agency (NTA) guidelines on the dress code for the JEE Main 2025 examination day, candidates can wear clothing of their choice, but items such as caps, scarf, stoles, or jewellery, metallic items are prohibited. They should also not wear dark coloured, heavy clothing but stick to light clothing.

The JEE Main session 1 admit card will be announced three days before the exam date and the hall ticket is expected to be out by January 19.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the schedule for JEE Main 2025 exam schedule for session 1. The schedule is given below.

Paper 1 in BE, BTech: The exam is scheduled to be conducted on January 22, 23, 24, 28 and 29 in two shifts. First shift will be from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm while second shift will be from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

Paper 2A (B Arch) and Paper 2B (B Planning): The test will take place on January 30 in single shit from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

As per the JEE Main 2025 syllabus, topics such as scalars and vectors, vector addition and subtraction, scalar and vector products, unit vectors, and resolution of a vector have been removed by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

NTA has revised the JEE Main 2025 tie-breaking policy. As per the revised JEE Main 2025 tie-breaking policy, the age of candidates and JEE Main 2025 application numbers will no longer be considered for assigning ranks to candidates with same scores.

• Print copy of admit card on A4 size paper along with self-declaration (undertaking) downloaded from the NTA website.
• JEE Main 2025 hall ticket and a valid ID proof
• One passport size photograph, same as the one uploaded on the application form
• Any one of the authorized original photo IDs
• PwD/PwBD certificate issued by the authorized medical officer
• A transparent ball point pen.

Candidates are advised to report at the exam centre indicated on the JEE Main hall ticket at least 2 hours before the exam timings.
