The JEE Main Jan 24 shift 1 paper 2025 has commenced at 9 am. Candidates appearing for BE, BTech paper 1 exams will be given 3 hours to attempt the exam. The exam will conclude at 12 noon.  

Heavy-traffic has caused stress and anxiety among the JEE Mains 2025 aspirants and parents. While traffic was snarled-up because of various reasons such as MahaKumbh, Republic Day parade practice, office hours.

As per the NTA schedule, JEE Mains January 24 shift 1 candidate can login at 8:50 am to read exam instructions. The JEE Main 2025 January 24 paper will begin at 9 am.

As per NTA, if a candidate is caught using unfair means in JEE Main 2025 January 24 exam, he/ she will be debarred for 3 years in the future and be liable for criminal action.

Entry gates have been closed. Candidates who have a valid JEE Main admit card 2025, self-declaration form, passport size photo have been allowed entry inside the exam hall.

The first day of the JEE Main 2025 session 1 exam saw postponement, technical glitches, and delayed entry in Karnataka. JEE Main admit card for rescheduled exam will be made available soon at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the JEE Main admit card 2025 for the exams scheduled on January 28, 29, and 30, 2025. Candidates registered for the examination can download their JEE Main2025 admit card for 28 29 from the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Yes. Candidates are allowed to wear jeans, however, it is advised that they were comfortable dress to avoid any discomfort while appearing for the JEE Main 2025 exam.  

As per JEE Main 2025 guidelines, shoes, footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons are not permitted. Candidates are also not allowed to wear cap or scarfs, or metallic items. Candidates should opt for lightweight, breathable clothing appropriate for the season.

As per the JEE Main dress code guidelines. female candidates are advised to not wear mehendi, jwellery, heavy and expensive ornaments to the exam centre.

Candidates appearing for the JEE Main January 24 exam must carry the following documents to the JEE Main exam centre-

• JEE Main admit card downloaded from the NTA official website. 
• Self-declaration form and a valid photo ID card such as Aadhaar card, PAN card. 
• Should carry at least two passport photographs same as the one uploaded in the JEE Main application form 2025.
• Transparent water bottle and ball point pen.

In the recent update, NTA has moved the JEE Main 2025 exam centres in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh to Varanasi in view of Mahakumbh for candidates appearing on January 28, 29, and 30.

The JEE Mains 2025 engineering entrance exam will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode for a duration of three hours.

The NTA has instructed candidates to ensure that the JEE Main question paper available on the computer allotted to them is as per the opted subject and medium. In case if it is different from the one opted, they are advised to inform the invigilator immediately.

The NTA will allow candidates to enter inside the exam centre for JEE Main January 24 shift 1 from 7 am to 8:30 am. Candidates will have to show their hall ticket at the entry gate to be allowed inside the centre. They will have to complete the admit card and photo ID verification process, biometric registration. Meanwhile, the invigilator will record the attendance manually.  

The JEE Main question paper for BE, BTech paper 1 will have three sections. Each section - physics, chemistry, and mathematics - will carry 20 questions in section A and 5 compulsory questions in section B. Exam pattern and marking scheme is given below.

The JEE Mains exam centers have been changed for a few cities in the past three days due to several reasons.

The NTA has changed the JEE Mains exam centre for candidates who have opted for Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Such candidates will appear in the Varanasi exam centre for January 28, 29, and 30 exams. 

Candidates will not be permitted entry inside the exam centre without the JEE Mains hall ticket. Students are required to fill the self-declaration form given on page 1 and carry it along with the admit card.  The undertaking is signed by the candidates to inform the NTA about any COVID-19 symptoms, details of quarantine, travel history. 

Students who appeared in the JEE Main January 23 shift 2 exam found errors in the physics and mathematics sections. The JEE Mains question paper with solutions will be available soon on the NTA's official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. Meanwhile, several coaching centres have started publishing unofficial answers on the basis of memory-based questions. 

Candidates wearing religious clothing have been instructed to reach the exam centre early for mandatory frisking. As per the exam day guidelines, the NTA has only imposed three restrictions on candidates’ dress code. Candidates are not allowed to wear shoes, footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons.
