NEW DELHI: Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 January 24 exam over. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the JEE Main 2025 shift exam till 6 pm. Shift 2 question papers with solutions and unofficial answer keys will soon be published by various coaching centres. The JEE Mains 2025 paper solutions will be based on memory-based questions and reactions collected from candidates.
NTA JEE Mains 2025 day 3 exam was conducted in two shifts – shift 1 from 9 am to 12 noon and shift 2 from 3 pm to 6 pm. Candidates appearing for BE, BTech paper 1 exams will be given 3 hours to attempt the exam.
In the latest update, NTA has moved the JEE Main 2025 exam centres in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh to Varanasi in view of Mahakumbh for candidates appearing on January 28, 29, and 30.
So far, students who appeared for JEE Mains 2025 session 1 rated the exam as overall moderate in difficulty level. Some examinees claimed errors in JEE Main question paper 2025, in physics and mathematics sections, in the first shift on day 2. NTA has also rescheduled the JEE Main January 22 exam for January 28 or 29 for 114 candidates who faced technical problems.
NTA is holding the first session of JEE Mains on January 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, and 30. Paper 1 (BE, BTech) exams are being held on the first five days while Paper 2 (BArch, BPlan) is scheduled for the last day.
It is mandatory for JEE Main 2025 aspirants to carry their valid photo ID, self-declaration, and non-Aadhaar declaration form along with the JEE Main 2025 admit card to the exam hall. Students are advised to follow the exam-day instructions, dress code, and avoid carrying prohibited items and indulging in unfair means.

The tie-breaking criteria come into effect when two or more candidates secure equal percentile scores. Candidates having higher percentile scores in the maths section are ranked higher. However, if a tie still exists candidates having higher percentile scores in the physics section will be given higher ranks. If the tie still exists after then candidates having higher percentile scores in chemistry will get a higher rank. Lastly, candidates older in age are given preference.

The NTA has instructed candidates to ensure that the JEE Main question paper available on the computer allotted to them is as per the opted subject and medium. In case if it is different from the one opted, they are advised to inform the invigilator immediately.
The NTA will allow candidates to enter inside the exam centre for JEE Main January 24 shift 1 from 7 am to 8:30 am.
