The NTA has announced a significant change to the JEE Main 2025 exam pattern. Under the new format, optional questions have been removed from Section B of all sections, making all questions mandatory for candidates. As a result, candidates will no longer have the option to select from a limited number of questions. The JEE Main question paper consists of two sections.

As per the latest updates, the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are offering fee concessions and relaxed cut-off scores for students from reserved categories to promote inclusive and equitable education.

"In the JEE-based admissions, fee remissions and fee waivers are provided right from the application stage. At the application stage, students belonging to the SC, ST, PwD (persons with disability) need to pay only half the examination fee. Further, cut-offs are relaxed to support a greater number of admissions in the SC, ST, PwD and OBC categories," said IIT Madras Director V Kamakoti.

It is expected that JEE Mains 2025 syllabus will remain the same. The syllabus for JEE Main 2025 includes important topics of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics of NCERT Class 11 and 12.

Engineering aspirants will have to keep the scanned copy of the following documents ready in the specified format.

• The size of the scanned photograph should be between 10 kb to 200 kb.

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) has launched a new initiative, the Self Assessment Test and Help for Entrance Exams (SATHEE) scheme, aimed at helping students prepare for competitive exams like JEE Mains 2025, NEET UG 2025, and government services (SSC) free of cost.

The JEE Mains 2025 exam will be held in 2 sessions. The JEE Mains 2025 first session will be conducted in the last week of January and second session will be held in April.
