In the latest notification, the NTA announced that the JEE Mains 2025 official website is jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Main registration 2025 will begin in “due course of time”, the NTA said, while announcing its decision to remove options from section B. The optional questions in section B were introduced as a one-time measure during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The JEE Main notification 2025 will carry detailed information about the timeline of the exam including the registration process, eligibility criteria, the application fee, marking scheme, and exam dates along with information regarding the documents required for registration, guidelines for filling out the application form and instructions for uploading photographs and signatures.
The JEE Main exam will be held for admission to engineering and architecture programmes at National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and various other government and private institutions. Candidates who qualify JEE Main 2025 will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced, which is required for Bachelor of Technology (BTech) admissions at Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

Candidates are advised to check this website for updates on the JEE Main 2025 exam date, registration, application form, syllabus, eligibility, and other important details.

To be eligible for JEE Main 2025, candidates must have passed Class 12 in 2023, 2024, or 2025. Although there is no minimum percentage required to appear for the exam, candidates must secure at least 75% marks in Class 12 to qualify for admission to IITs, NITs, or IIITs.
In the April session of JEE Main 2024, a total of 1,179,569 students registered, out of which 1,067,959 candidates appeared for the exam.
To register for JEE Main 2025, candidates must upload the following documents in the specified format:
JEE Main acts as the entrance examination for National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other participating technical education institutions. The exam will be held in two phases.
The marking scheme for JEE Main Paper 1 is as follows: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) award +4 marks for each correct answer, while -1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.
