NEW DELHI: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 exam date will be announced soon. The National Testing Agency (NTA) recently updated the JEE Main 2025 official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Mains 2025 registration is expected to begin from November 1 while JEE Main 2025 session 1 exam is likely to be held in January, based on past trends.

The NTA has stated that registration for JEE Main 2025 will commence "in due course of time." Additionally, it announced the removal of optional questions from section B, which were initially introduced as a temporary measure during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The NTA recently issued a notice announcing changes in JEE exam pattern. For JEE Mains 2025, the exam will revert to the pre-COVID format. In the updated pattern, Section B of Paper 1 will no longer include optional questions. Each subject will have 5 mandatory questions, and students must answer all of them. Likewise, there will be no optional questions in the Mathematics section for Paper 2A and 2B.
As per previous years, to appear for the JEE Main 2025 exam, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:
Age Limit: There is no specific age limit to appear for JEE Main. However, candidates must meet the age requirements set by the institution they are seeking admission to (if applicable).
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed their Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2023, 2024, or be appearing in 2025. They must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following: Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or a Technical Vocational subject.
Number of Attempts: Candidates can attempt JEE Main a maximum of three consecutive years from their year of Class 12 completion. The exam is conducted twice a year, and candidates can attempt both sessions.

"The Crash Course for JEE Main 2025 provides students with a highly structured, intensive learning plan that focuses on covering the entire syllabus comprehensively within a short period. It combines a robust lecture plan, frequent testing, and expert guidance to ensure students are well-prepared for the exam," in their words.
Phase 1 of the JEE Main 2025 crash course spans 75 days, commencing on November 7, 2024, and concluding on January 23, 2025. Students will participate in a total of 138 lectures during this phase, with three lectures scheduled each day from Monday to Saturday, amounting to a daily teaching duration of 4 hours and 30 minutes. The lectures include 69 hours of teaching each for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The course also includes six part tests and four mock tests, online, totaling 10 tests and 30 test hours.
Phase 2 is a shorter, 46-day course starting on December 9, 2024, and also ending on January 23, 2025. During this phase, students will attend 96 lectures, with again three lectures per day and a total daily teaching time of 4 hours and 30 minutes. Aspirants will receive 48 hours of instruction in PCM. Like the first phase, students in Phase II will also complete six part tests and four mock tests, conducted online, with 30 test hours in total.
NTA will release JEE Main 2025 application form soon at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The application fee will be mentioned in the JEE Main 2025 information bulletin. Last year, the JEE Main registration fee was Rs 1,000 for male candidates belonging to the unreserved and Rs 800 for female. The third gender applicants had to pay Rs 500.
