Try NowNEW DELHI: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Delhi recorded a drop in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main cut-offs for all major BTech courses over the last three years. Admission to BTech programmes in NIT Delhi will be conducted based on the candidate's performance in JEE Main 2025.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the JEE Main 2025 exam in two sessions. NTA has recently announced the JEE Main 2025 exam dates. As per the announcement, JEE Main 2025 session 1 exam for paper 1 will be conducted on January 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29 in two shifts, while paper 2 will be held in a single shift on January 30.
Candidates seeking admission to engineering programmes at NIT Delhi will have to qualify the JEE Main 2025 paper 1 for Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programmes and paper 2 for Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) programmes.
Artificial Intelligence and Data Science: Cut-offs at NIT Delhi over the years
The NIT Delhi is one of the newer NITs, which launched a new 4-year BTech course in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science last year. The JEE Main cut-off for this course decreased compared to the previous year.
The JEE Main closing rank for the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science course at NIT Delhi was 14,598 for the Home State (HS), gender-neutral, open category last year. This year, the JEE Main closing rank for the same course under the same category is 12,510.
NIT Delhi also introduced two new 4-year BTech programmes in 2024 including Aerospace Engineering and VLSI Design and Technology. The JEE Main closing rank for Aerospace Engineering under HS, gender-neutral, open category was 19,407. For the VLSI Design and Technology engineering programme, the JEE Main closing rank was 18,485.
OBC, SC, and ST cut-off trend at NIT Delhi
Candidates who qualify the JEE Main exam will have to register at the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling portal for the admission process at the NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. The NIT Delhi cut-off trends for other backward classes (OBC), scheduled castes (SC), and scheduled tribes (ST) categories over the last three years also saw a decrease across all major engineering programmes.
