Out of these, 12 candidates belong to the general category, while one candidate belongs to the Other Backward Classes – Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) and the Scheduled Caste (SC) categories.

The union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan stated that starting in 2025, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will no longer conduct recruitment exams. The NTA has withheld the JEE Main 2025 results for 39 candidates due to their involvement in unfair means (UFM) practices during the session 1 exam. The NTA said, "The NTA score of 39 candidates has not been declared as they were found indulging in Unfair Means practices."
