The National Testing Agency (NTA) will hold the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 session 2 Day 2 exam tomorrow, April 4, 2026. The exam will be conducted in two shifts: morning (Shift 1) from 9 am to 12 pm and afternoon (Shift 2) from 3 pm to 6 pm. The final merit list will be determined based on candidates’ performance across both JEE sessions, with only the top 2.5 lakh qualifiers eligible to sit for the JEE Advanced 2026 exam on May 17.
JEE session 2 exams offer another opportunity to candidates who did not appear for the January exams or are not satisfied with their performance. NTA will prepare the final All India Rank (AIR) and percentile for 2026 based on the best of the two sessions.

The testing agency will hold JEE Main 2026 session 2 exams for BTech and BE Paper 1 on April 4, 5, 6, and 8, while BArch and BPlanning Paper 2 will be conducted on April 7.
JEE Mains 2026 April 2 paper for both shift 1 and 2 was “easy to moderate” in difficulty. As per the students’ reaction, the Day 1 shift 1 Maths section was “easy” compared to the January session exam, and the shift 2 physics section was “tougher” than the chemistry questions in the morning shift.
Candidates appearing for the JEE Main 2026 are advised to carry their hall ticket, two passport-size photographs, and a valid ID proof to the exam centres. As per guidelines, those who did not register using Aadhaar must report to their allotted centre at least one hour before the gate closing time to complete the biometric verification.
