Try NowNEW DELHI : National Testing Agency has started the JEE Main 2020 Paper 1 exam which is conducted for B.Tech admissions today i.e September 2. The forenoon shift of JEE Main 2020 paper 1 has commenced as a computer based exam at 9:00 AM. The JEE Main 2020 paper 1 will be over at 12:00 PM. Only those candidates who carried JEE Main admit card , self declaration form, valid id proof and other items mentioned in the hall ticket are allowed to enter in the exam centre. JEE Main 2020 Paper-1 consists of three sections - Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

As per the notification released by NTA, JEE Main 2020 exam is being held at 660 exam centres and the total number of candidates per shift will be 85000. A total of 7,46,115 candidates will be appearing for only B.Tech exam in the JEE Main 2020 April/September session.
Precautions taken by NTA at JEE Main 2020 exam centres
To ensure safe conduct of JEE Main September exam, NTA had issued advisory to guide students about do’s and don’ts for proper social distancing. According to most of the students who appeared for JEE Main 2020 Paper 2 exam yesterday i.e September 1, NTA followed all the precautionary guidelines inside the exam centre. The authorities are following the precautionary measures such as thermal screening, sanitization, giving fresh face masks to students, and maintaining social distancing.

To ensure that social distancing maintains inside the JEE Main exam centre, students are being seated at alternate seats.

Before entry in the JEE Main 2020 exam centre, students are asked to dispose of their masks and are provided with the new mask.

A man who records temperature and frisking through metal detectors wears a PPE kit.

Hand sanitizer is easily made available inside the JEE Main 2020 exam hall.

Parents are asked to leave the exam centre as soon as they drop off their children.
