JIPMER PG 2018: MD/MS Entrance Examination Rescheduled

NEW DELHI, MARCH 29: Taking cognisance of the clash between the dates of July session MD/MS entrance examination of JIPMER Puducherry and PGI Chandigarh, JIPMER Puducherry, the exam conducting authority of JIPMER PG (MD/MS), has rescheduled the date and time of JIPMER PG July 2018 session entrance exam.

As per the revised dates, the JIPMER PG July session exam will be conducted on May 19, 2018, in the morning shift from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, instead of earlier stipulated date of May 13, 2018, the day on which PGIMER 2018 is also scheduled to be held. The change in the exam dates of JIPMER PG 2018 July session exam has been communicated through a notification released by JIPMER Puducherry. “It is informed that the date and timing of entrance exam for admission to MD/MS/DM/M.Ch/PDF courses – July 2018 session have been rescheduled...in order to facilitate the students who wish to appear/give the entrance exam in (both) JIPMER, Puducherry and PGIMER Chandigarh,” reads the notification.

The notice comes as a good news for students seeking to appear for both MD/MS entrance exams of JIPMER Puducherry and PGI Chandigarh. Candidates can see the revised date and time of JIPMER PG 2018 in the table below:

Application forms to close soon

Candidates who couldn’t fill the application form of either JIPMER PG 2018 or PGIMER 2018, due to the clash in dates or any other reason, can register themselves and fill the application form of respective examinations now, given that the conflict between the dates of the two examinations has been sorted. JIPMER PG 2018 registration and application forms will close on April 2, 2018 (Monday) at 5:00 PM, and the last date to submit application form of PGIMER 2018 is April 16, 2018. Interested candidates can apply for the examinations before the last dates.

JIPMER Puducherry and PGI Chandigarh are the two bodies besides AIIMS New Delhi which have the permission to conduct their own entrance examination. The admission to MD/MS courses in all other medical colleges around the country, except for those set up under these institutions, are done through NEET PG.
