JMI student Khalid wins bronze medals at 5th national para badminton championship

Munna Khalid, a student of Jamia Millia Islamia, pursuing PhD in Hindi has previously won multiple medals on the national and international level.
NEW DELHI: Munna Khalid, a student of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) university has won two bronze medals at the fifth National Para Badminton championship 2022-23. Khalid is pursuing Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Hindi discipline at the university.
On March 15, Khalid also claimed the gold medal in the Delhi state championship 2023. He has previously won numerous gold, silver and bronze medals at the national and international level. Currently, he stands on 26th position in the world, 14th position in Asia and third in India.

The fifth National Para Badminton championship was jointly organised by Dr Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University and Garv foundation, under the aegis of Paralympics Committee of India and Badminton Association of India, from March 23 until March 26 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
In the fourth National para badminton championship organised in Bhubaneswar in December 2021, Khalid had won two bronze medals and had become the first player from NCT Delhi to have won a medal in any National level para badminton championship. Prior to PhD, Khalid has pursued BA (Hons) in Hindi, Masters of Social Work (MSW) and MA (Hindi) from JMI.
In other news, the Jamia Milia Islamia school admission 2023 have commenced. The application window will remain open with late fee payment of Rs 300 till April 13, 2023. The University also plans to offer dual degrees, online learning and four-year undergraduate programme from the next academic year onwards.
