During the meeting, the JMI VC requested the President to grant permission for setting up a medical college, offshore campuses and additional faculty positions.
A medical college at JMI will not only be helpful for people living in South Delhi but will also be useful for the people living in nearby cities in UP and Haryana, the university said in a statement.

Stating that the university has made significant improvements in international rankings like QS, Times Higher Education (THE) etc, she requested the President to grant ‘Institute of Eminence’ status.
She also invited the President for the upcoming convocation of the university, as per the official statement.
She further briefed her about JMI’s Residential Coaching Academy (RCA), which provides coaching for various competitive examinations, adding that this year’s IAS exam topper Shruti Sharma was a student of the academy.
