NEW DELHI: The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has extended the registration deadline for the stenographer exam 2024. As per the official notice, candidates can now fill out the JSSC stenographer 2024 application form till October 10 through the official website, jssc.nic.in.
To register for the JSSC stenographer, candidates from the general, other backward classes (OBC), and economically weaker sections (EWS) categories will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100. For candidates belonging to the scheduled caste (SC) and scheduled tribe (ST) categories, the application fee is Rs 50.
The commission has also extended the JSSC stenographer application correction deadline. Candidates can now make changes to their application forms till October 12 through the official website.
Candidates can edit personal details like name, date of birth, and gender, as well as contact information, educational qualifications, address, and category. They can also correct any errors in the uploaded photograph and signature if needed.
The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 455 vacancies for stenographer positions. The final selection of candidates for the post of stenographer will be conducted by the commission through a three-tier process, which includes a skill test, a written examination, and document verification.
JSSC Stenographer 2024: Eligibility criteria
Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for the JSSC stenographer 2024 given below.

Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 21 years old and 35 years old as of August 1, 2024. The upper age limit is relaxed for reserved category candidates.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a recognised university or institute.
