NEW DELHI : The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the deadline to fill options for Diploma CET (DCET) counselling 2024 till July 15. The extension has been given as the aspirants have been allowed to appear for document verification till July 14.
The Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF) candidates have been made eligible for DCTE 2024 counselling. “As per the interim order in the high court, the candidates who have passed the NTTF will be given the result and considered for seat allotment,” said KEA in an official notification. Such candidates can get their certificates verified between July 13 and July 14. Candidates who qualify in document verification will be allowed to enter options and will be considered for first round seat allotment.
The exam authority informed that working professionals who have applied for DCET 2024 will not be eligible for admission to second year of engineering courses under professional quota as they have not submitted the prescribed one-year service certificate. Such candidates are required to attend the document verification and obtain verification slips to be considered as regular diploma candidates. Such candidates will be given regular rank and will be allowed to enter options to be considered for first round seat allotment.
Moreover, candidates who did not appear for document verification urged KEA to allow it. Such candidates can attend the verification process from today, July 13 till tomorrow, July 14.
“Due to the above mentioned reasons and the inclusion of the seats ceded by the Governing Body to the Government in the seat matrix, the date for registration of OPTIONS for the first round of seat allotment has been extended up to 15-07-2024 No.8.00. The schedule after allotment of seats will be published on the website of the authority shortly,” KEA further stated.
