The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the Karnataka NEET UG counselling 2026 round 2 option entry process for the newly added 100 seats at Government Medical College in Bagalkot. As per the KEA notice, candidates can modify or add options for the Karnataka NEET UG counselling 2026 round 2 seat allotment till 9:30 am on October 10.
The Government Medical College in Bagalkot has recently opened, and 100 seats are available in this college. The option entry opportunity has been provided for newly registered candidates, who can apply for the GMC Bagalkot’s medical seats offered.
Candidates who had selected choice 2 and choice 3 after the Karnataka NEET UG 2026 seat allotment, as well as those who did not receive a seat allotment, can participate in round 2 admissions.
KEA is yet to announce the Karnataka NEET UG counselling 2026 round 2 dates for seat allotment and admission confirmation process.
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued letter of permission (LoP) to set up two new medical colleges in Bihar – Government Medical College, Chhapra (Saran), and Shri Ram Janki Medical College and Hospital, Samastipur – with 50 MBBS seats each for the academic year 2026-27.
Furthermore, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will announce the MCC NEET UG counselling 2026 round 2 seat allotment results on September 11. MCC added 659 new MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing seats for round 2 admissions.
