NEW DELHI: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) announced that Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2024 will tentatively be conducted on June 29, 30. The exam authority also notified a change in Karnataka PGCET syllabus 2024.

KEA said that the syllabus and exam pattern of Karnataka PGCET 2024 has been ‘rationalised’ in view of the latest syllabus. PGCET 2024 will be conducted for admission to MBA, MCA, ME, MTech, and MArch programmes offered by the state universities and institutions.

“The syllabus for Post Graduate Common Entrance Test for MBA/MCA/ M.E/ M-Tech/ M.Arch courses PGCET 2024-25 has been revised in consultation with Vishveshwaraiah Technological University. The syllabus and question paper pattern for PG courses have been rationalized keeping in view the latest syllabus in Universities and other competitive exams. PGCET 2024-25 shall be conducted in line with the revised syllabus published in the KEA website,” said KEA in an official website.

Karnataka PGCET 2024 pattern, marking scheme

As per the revised paper pattern, the exam will be held in one session. The duration of the exam will be 120 minutes. The question paper will carry 100 marks. Each paper will comprise of 100 multiple choice questions carrying one mark each. There will be no negative marking.

The examination authority listed down the candidates of all streams the new syllabus of Karnataka PGCET 2024 will be applicable to. For MBA and MCA, it stated that the question paper will be in MCQ mode with 100 questions carrying one mark each.
