The additional round will be conducted following a Supreme Court order, which extended the admission deadline and asked the authority to conduct another round of seat allotment.

According to the official notification dated October 29, the final extended round will include vacant seats and seats marked as 'not reported' from the previous PGCET 2026 seat allotment process held between October 13 and October 15, 2026.

KEA PGCET 2026 eligibility for final extended round

Candidates who did not receive a seat in the previous counselling rounds can participate in the final extended round. Those who have already reported to their allotted colleges can also enter fresh options to seek an upgrade. Candidates who cancelled their allotted seats by paying the prescribed penalty are also eligible.

However, candidates who were allotted seats between October 13 and October 15 but neither paid the fees nor reported to their respective colleges will not be eligible for the additional round.

Such candidates can be eligible by reporting to their allotted colleges by October 31 or by cancelling their seats online after paying a penalty of Rs 10,000. In the latter case, the remaining fee amount after deducting the penalty will be refunded.

Candidates who received seats in the previous allotment but are yet to complete admission formalities must pay the fees and report to their respective colleges. Seats that remain unreported after the deadline will be returned to the pool for fresh allotment.

Eligible candidates participating in the final extended round must pay the caution deposit. General category candidates will have to pay Rs 35,000, while SC and ST candidates are required to deposit Rs 10,000.
