NEW DELHI, FEB 26: Candidates from Karnataka planning to take admissions in engineering, architecture or medical courses have a few hours left to fill the application form of KCET 2018, as application closes at 5.30 pm on February 26. The exam conducting authority will not accept any applications after the last date. Eligible candidates can fill the KCET application form, which opened on February 1, in online mode only. The application form filling process includes steps like registration, filling of the application form, uploading of photograph and payment of fees. Candidates who successfully fill the application form will be considered for admissions.   KCET entrance exam is scheduled to be conducted in pen-paper mode on April 18-19 for engineering , pharma and farm science courses. It is to be noted that aspirants of architecture have to appear for NATA 2018 and medical aspirants must appear for NEET 2018.

Before starting the application process, it is recommended that the candidate keeps items like scanned copies of essential documents and valid email id.

The application form filling process of KCET 2018 comprises the following steps 

  • Registration: To register, the candidate has to enter personal details like name, gender, DOB, and also mother’s and father’s name. If the KCET 2018 registration is successful, a unique Application Number and User ID will be generated. Note it down.
  • Filling the form: The candidate has to enter academic, contact and also personal details.
  • Uploading of Photograph: The candidate has to next upload scanned copies of photograph, signature, and left thumb impression in the prescribed format and size.
  • Payment of application fee: The application fee of Rs. 650 (Rs. 500 for SC/ST) has to be paid offline (through e-challan or DD) or online. Note those candidates who have done their schooling outside Karnataka have to pay Rs. 750.
  • Submission of Application form: The candidate has to finally submit the application form and take a printout.

Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will open the correction facility of KCET application form tentatively in the second week of March. Using the facility, the candidate will be able to edit some of the information in the application form. Also, the facility will be available to only those candidates who have registered for the exam and paid the application fee.
