NEW DELHI, FEB 26: Candidates who have missed the February 26 (5.30 pm) deadline to fill the KCET application form, have another opportunity now to fill the form as the last date has been extended till March 8. The last date of fee payment has also been extended till March 9. Only those candidates who successfully fill the KCET application form will be able to sit in the entrance exam for admission to engineering colleges in Karnataka; the exam is slated to be held on April 18-19.

In case of medical and architecture candidates, admission will on the basis of NEET 2018 and NATA 2018 scores, so candidates don’t have to appear in any entrance exam. Engineering students, however, have to fill the application form within the given deadline to be considered for admission.
The application form of KCET is available in online mode only and to fill it, the candidate has to complete steps like registration, filling of application form, uploading of photograph and payment of application fee. Before filling the application form, candidates need to ensure their eligibility, as otherwise their candidature might be rejected. Once eligibility is confirmed, the candidate may proceed and fill the form in the prescribed format. The application fee of the exam is non-refundable, so it is recommended that the candidate checks all the details carefully before making the payment, which can be made both online and offline.
Eligible engineering aspirants who successfully fill the application form will be issued admit cards on April 10 for the offline pen-paper-based entrance exam. The admit card will contain details like name of the candidate, exam day and centre, roll number and also exam-day guidelines. The candidate needs to ensure that the data mentioned on the admit card is legible and clear. If there is a discrepancy, the same should be bought to the notice of exam authorities.
As per the exam pattern of KCET, the engineering test paper will include a total of 180 multiple-choice questions, 60 each from physics, chemistry and mathematics. The subjects will be placed in two papers – Paper I (Mathematics) and Paper II (Physics + Chemistry).
